Scrubbin’ Clean

|

I was a little bit worried earlier today that I had come down with a case of the writer’s block, then all of the sudden it hit me (as it usually does in that case). I want to preface what I’m about to say with “This is not paid advertisement. Dr Squatch has and will in no way pay me to say anything that I do in this blog post”. Now that I’ve got that out of the way, I freakin’ love to use Dr Squatch soap.

Dr Squatch has a whole line of different products, but I’ve only tried out their soap. I remember when I first started seeing those ads pop up on social media. As if they weren’t enough to pique my interest, I was also starting to get very tired of how any liquid soap I tried would break out my skin. I tried plenty of different kinds of liquid body wash, and they all end up the same way. This is in no way an issue with the body washes themselves, but just how my skin reacts to them.

Most bar soaps I’ve ever tried (and no, I haven’t tried them all) always leave my skin feeling really dry, which was why I went to body wash to begin with. Granted that is probably the lesser of the two evils, it still wasn’t really ideal for me. When I gave Dr Squatch soap a try that all changed for me.

Since I’ve started using this soap they have come out with so much new and interesting scents. I pretty much just stick with ol’ faithful (Pine Tar) because I absolutely love it and don’t see a reason to change up. One thing to keep in mind when trying new ones though is the grit. Pine Tar is a heavy grit, which is one of the reasons why I like it so much. There’s only a small hand full of the heavy grit, but they also have medium grit, light grit, and zero grit. I like that good scrub (if the title didn’t give that away).

Aside from the different grits they also have several pretty cool collections worth checking out. These are super neat in my opinion for collectors, but of course they are also the real deal with their own scents and different grits just like the rest of the soaps. I also wanted to point out some of the neat accessories they have on their site as well (or as they call them “shower boosters”). These are pretty handy item’s to have that compliment their soap and other items well.

All in all I would say that this brand is worth checking out. It is definitely targeted more towards guys, but even my wife has been known to raid my soap since I’ve started using this. It may not be for everyone, and not everyone may want to spend the money one might would on this brand, but at the end of the day we need to take care of ourselves. This is one of my ways of taking care of myself.
